Task Analysis
As the main problem was highlighted the lack of seats (for 30% of employees).
In order to solve this problem it is rational to use Hybrid work format, and in order to make employees feel comfortable to work in this way, an extended Desk Booking Service (web interface for office management) was designed.
Competitor Analysis
A detailed competitive analysis was conducted to understand how others deal with a similar problem. The study analyzed 6 of the most successful solutions to identify common patterns and best practices

A detailed screencast of each competitor helped identify the optimal user flow
Survey
Survey Objectives
To define work by JTBD
Identify problems users have experienced with hybrid office schedules
12 people participated
Some conclusions
People look for places that are as similar as possible to their regular place of work or are set up like home
People feel most comfortable in the office because of familiar people around them, availability of equipment, availability of coffee (drinks) and speed of getting it (less queues).

JTBD
From analysing the survey, we can formulate Job Story:
Segment 1
When
When I come to work or want to spend my workday in the office,
I want
I want to be close to my acquaintances and be able to choose my workstation according to my preferences (closer to the coffee shop, with Mac charging, two monitors, or d.p.),
What would
To not have to run across the office to my team, quickly resolve issues, and be in an environment I'm comfortable in
Segment 2
When
When I along with my colleagues are working hard in the office and want coffee,
I want
I want our coffee ready by the time I get to the coffee shop.
What would
To spend minimum time on it and to have an invigorating drink without distracting from the work process.
Problem solving
I want to choose my own place according to my preferences and needs
Allow the user to select a workstation for him/herself and view/filter the locations by attached equipment
Not everyone wants to work away from their team or their contacts
When viewing an office map, it should be possible to view who already works there or will work there
I want our coffee to be ready by the time I get to the cafe and no waiting in queues
Give the option to order coffee in advance, view brewing times or place a delayed order
UX Tests
The in-depth UX testing tested 18 hypotheses on 3 user flows. A number of hypotheses were disproved, for example, not all users could immediately find their colleague, as well as were confused in the navigation on the map. Identifying these issues helped to improve the product and user experience.
What has been improved after testing:
Navgation contrast has been improved
Added tooltips for additional navigation elements
Made a separate link to go to the reserved place from the profile
Added additional functionality “More details” in the worker's card

Conclusion
As a result, a product was developed that helps office workers to book a place in advance for different periods, to choose a place by equipment and surrounding employees, as well as to order a coffee by a specific time in a local cafe, in order to spend the working day with maximum comfort.
